2008 is going to flash past in the blink of an eye. Time and tide really waits for no man. I wonder what 2009 will hold.
Here are the top 10 memorable things I did in 2008. How about you?
10) 2nd Camping trip in Europe. Amsterdam Bos.
9) Gorging on the juiciest, plumpest strawberries from the garden.
8) Drank 1.2+++ litres of sangria in Barcelona.
7) First experience in a 9-bed hostel in Amsterdam. Convivial and fun! No bed bugs!
6) Discovered chouchen! The best honey based liquor in the world!
5) Ran the Nike Human Race with the rest of the world. First 10K race of my life.
4) Went Batam for a traditional Indonesian massage, jetskiing and parasailing. They are all my firsts!
3) Ate the most delicious baby ribeye steak (in my life) in Amsterdam
2) Ate the most delicious baby lamb (in my life) in Madrid.
1) Married my hubby traditionally! There's no more turning back!
I did do pretty much for 2008. Wonder what 2009 will bring eh? Happy end of year people and stay happy and healthy! Have a blast for the coming year!

Happy Boxing Day everyone! How's the Xmas sales treating you? i'm waiting for the French Winter Sale 2009 which starts from the 7 Jan. Really looking to buy more winter suited clothes as I'm turning into a giant ice cube due to the chilly weather. Brrrrrrrrrrrr. Ca caille. As the french says over here, it pigeons! haha
Had a wonderful scrumptious xmas entrée on xmas eve. Escargots with garlic butter! Kiba and I had a serving of 12 yummy french snails each. It's heavenly! I love garlic butter! Whoever invented this must be the greatest culinary chef of all time.
The xmas log cake (bûche) on xmas day is totally yummilicious! Flaked with praliné and filled with chocolate mousse, each mouthful brings you higher and higher to heaven. The log cake is dotted with mini xmas trees, a mini reindeer, a mini santa and a mini edible house. So so pretty. It's so pretty to look at and it took us a moment to admire the xmas bûche before eating it.
We managed to stay at the table from one till eight during xmas day. Another feat. Who's game to join us for next year's xmas lunch?
I'm so cold. I'll be out looking for a polar bear to hug!

It's a merry little christmas
Down in the department 75
I've got to come back to work the very next day
As busy as a bee in the hive
Took a trip to Boulevard Haussemann
To get a little Xmas feel
But alas the whole place was full of deepavali lights
It makes Xmas feel unreal
Took a little trip to Truffaut
To buy my little tree
Only to see closed doors everywhere
Oh woe is me
My little poem of Noël
Which doesn't seem to rhyme
Everything will be better
Once I have some good ole rum
So do give me a little rum o please
With chouchen from Brittany
If you don't even grant me that
My xmas will be o so blimey
This must be one of the suckiest xmas poem
That your eyes have to bear
But thanks for reading it all the way through
Have a merry Xmas there!

Plagued with a headache yesterday afternoon which lasted thru the night. It's only this morning when the helluva insistent throbbing went away and I had some forty winks. Clung on to my pillow for dear life as I refused to budge from my warm little nest of quilt. Back to the office, back to monotony. In the chilly, cold air of a Parisian December, how my old bones rattle and go "ooh" and "ahhh" to the cold winds.
I need pockets. A jacket with pockets is very welcomed indeed. I need to cut two holes in my lovely jacket to put my hands through to shield them from the cold. These hands of mine, dry as orange peel, subject themselves to the harsh weather conditions and yet the owner does nothing.
Wandering through restless thoughts of her own, wrestling with one's feelings of frustration, annoyance, tedium.
Tedium.
Sigh.
