Caught “We will rock you” and the actress was simply amazing! Her vocals were so strong. Mama Mia was sold out sadly and guess we were missing out on ABBA tunes. Queen’s were not bad as replacements though. The spectacle was nice enough though sad to say, the guy playing the main lead was not there and thus replaced by his understudy. The understudy lacked the stage presence and charisma to pull it off. The saving grace was the female lead though she as well, was an understudy. For her though, she rose to the occasion and did an excellent job. English theatre has never failed to disappoint me and we had a great night out. (Guess we have to understand that it’s August and everyone is on their summer holidays)

It’s been 2 years since I’ve last been back and things are pretty much the same. Went back to Four Seasons for the oily fatty bom bom roast duck! God! That was heaven! It’s been close to 6 months since I ate a roast duck, Chinese style. Yumyum! JS ate too fast and had indigestion. Talking about indigestion and eating, regardless if it’s too much, too fast, too frequent, we have been on an eating spree ever since JS touched down. Raclette, croque monsieur, French crêpes, cheese, entrecôtes, you name it, we ate it. JS is very well initialized in the French gastronomic scene indeed. We are going to Chez Robert at the Pot de Fer tonight. A very quirky restaurant covered with diners’ graffiti and memos. The entrees are excellent and the menu consists of traditional French food. The bavette d’échalots (beef with shallots) can be award winning. The ambience is cozy and nice.

We went to the National History Museum at South Kensington. It’s surreal that we are walking through the same places as Ben Stiller when he filmed “Night at the Museum”. The National History Museum is great and really interesting. We saw the replicas of Triceratops and the smaller version of the T-Rex. There was also a simulation of the Kobe earthquake in 1995 which killed many. It was a sad moment in history. That National History Museum is a nice place to go back to. Most importantly, entrance is free for the general exhibits.

Bond Street is JS’s favourite haunt though the prices are amazing. After earning in euros, the pounds seem less crushing but it’s crushing all the same. Things in Top Shop and Selfridge aren’t exactly cheap even when there’s a bit of a sale going on. Anyway, everyone knows that the clothes at the discount racks are all rotten or imperfect items. Amsterdam is a much better place to shop.

Did last minute crazy shopping at Harrods and M & S. Bought lots of yummy food, including my beloved Bendicks mint. Scaling the Eiffel Tower tonight and we are prepared to squeeze with the crowd. Typing this from the office again. Heehee.

Till then, next entry will be on the “Sungei Buloh of Europe”. Stay tuned! Cheers and have an excellent weekend. =)
