Been down with flu for the past couple of days and it's really exhausting. I have already pre-empt it by taking lots of vitamin C and the much appreciated Coryzalia but apparently the virus is stronger than me. Hate to be down like a fly but yet what can we do? Luckily am feeling much better and like a human again.

This has been an amazing week as I had my first visitors from good ole Singapore!! Miss Xw and entourage dropped by on Sunday and we had a lot of fun. I don't know about them but I certainly did. The poor babes and dude looked tired from their military styled itinery as they climbed up into my little haven.

Complaints include the miniscule shower with the sticky curtains and wearing shoes in the house. Haha. What to do. The Europeans love to wear shoes in the house and woe is me! Thinking how many times must I sweep the floor a day to keep it clean?! Simple. I just don't. Haha. Well, I don't exactly live in the Dustbowl either. I try to vacuum and sweep at regular intervals. How regular? Don't ask. Haha. Bought wines and liquor for them and they do not even drink much! Hmmph! Haha. But hopefully they had a good time and a good sleep at my humble abode.

Crashed with them in Paris and had fun touring around. Think of buggy rentals in the Chateau de Versailles and driving round a 10-15km/h. Ornate gold decorations and all the luxe in the castle. The grandeur of the Opera and good ole wine and dine in Paris. I had a blast. Singaporean hospitality. J's parents are really nice! So warm and they remind me of my own parents. Parents are universal and it's really, really heartwarming to feel a bit like home over here. Thanks to J's dad's secret recipe, I managed to get a taste of home.

Would be a long wait before another of my SG friend flies over. Singaporean hospitality. One of its own.
